Lifeguard Certification

The Red Cross Lifeguard Certification course will train and certify participants how lifeguard for flat water surfaces, such as swimming pools. Participants must be at least 15 years old to participate. The Lifeguard course includes the following certifications: Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, all valid for 2 years. This course is available in a traditional classroom format as well as an e-learning blended learning format. The blended learning course requires all Students to complete the online portion prior to the first class date you sign up for. The American Red Cross online course fee is an additional $35.00 payable to the American Red Cross.

Lifeguard Re-certification

Lifeguard Recertification course is a refresher class for participants who have current American Red Cross certifications in the following: Lifeguard Training, First Aid, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer, valid for 2 years.

Lifeguard Instructor certifications

The Lifeguard Instructor/Instructor Trainer Review course is the required course for all Lifeguard Instructors and Instructor Trainers to re-certify in the r.17 American Red Cross course.
